City of Sandy Springs Comprehensive Plan and The Next Ten Initiative
Crossroads Small Area Plan
The City of Sandy Springs is developing a plan for the “Crossroads” area, which includes properties located east and west of Roswell Road from Interstate 285 to the southern end of The Prado shopping center.
The purpose of the plan is to address current and future community needs while envisioning how the area may evolve over the next 10–15 years.
City Center and City Springs Master Plans
The current City Center Master Plan was adopted in 2012. The update evaluates community needs and priorities related to land use and development patterns, transportation and parking management, economic development, and placemaking opportunities.
The plan establishes a 10-year vision for the City Springs district.
Transportation Master Plan Update
The City’s current Transportation Master Plan was adopted in April 2021. The plan identifies transportation needs throughout Sandy Springs and outlines projects and strategies intended to improve transportation safety and operations.
In November 2025, the City began work on an update to the 2021 Transportation Master Plan.
Roswell Road Access Management Plan
Roswell Road Transit Access and Streetscape Improvements Plan
This concept report summarizes development of the Roswell Road Transit and Streetscape Improvement Project through completion of the concept phase.
The report describes the project purpose and outlines key project components proposed as part of the concept layouts.

Bicycle, Pedestrian, and Trail Plan
The City Council adopted the Bicycle, Pedestrian, and Trail Plan in 2014. This plan marked the first comprehensive evaluation of Sandy Springs’ existing bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure and identified priorities for future investments.
