Transportation Master Plan - Draft Plan Update
On June 16, 2026, the draft plan of the Sandy Springs Transportation Master Plan was presented to the Sandy Springs City Council. The plan reflects the City's continued commitment to a transportation system that fosters a livable, vibrant, and well-connected community. The draft plan reflects a nine-month process, from October 2025 - June 2026, combining the detailed analysis, and community engagement.

Plan Update Schedule
The 2026 Transportation Master Plan Update process began in Fall 2025. The plan is expected to be adopted by Summer 2026. Below is a preliminary plan schedule, highlighting key milestones in plan development, public engagement, and plan adoption.
- Plan Development: Fall 2025–Summer 2026
- Community Engagement: Late Fall 2025–Summer 2026
- Project Development List: Winter 2025–Spring 2026

Public Meetings and Events
Three public listening sessions were hosted throughout the City:
- Tuesday, February 24, 5:30–7:30 p.m.
- North Fulton Annex, 7741 Roswell Road
- Wednesday, February 25, 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. and 5:30–7:30 p.m.
- Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center, City Hall, 1 Galambos Way
- Thursday, February 26, 5:30–7:30 p.m.
- Church of the Redeemer, 5185 Peachtree Dunwoody Road
Comments from the public were accepted through March 12.

Previous Public Engagement
A survey was open in the Fall of 2025, gathering initial input from the public as the Transportation Master Plan update began. This input has been used to help shape conversations and feedback in our public meetings.
About the Transportation Master Plan
This Transportation Master Plan (TMP) identifies transportation needs in the City and develops a program of projects and strategies that are intended to improve the safety and operations of the transportation system. It was adopted in April 2021. In the fall of 2025, the process began to update the City's existing Transportation Master Plan.
