Powers Ferry Transportation Study

Study Overview

The Powers Ferry Road study area, which straddles Interstate 285 at Northside Drive, serves as the western gateway to the City of Sandy Springs.

The area is home to a regional employment center and residential neighborhoods, includes small-scale retail, and provides access to the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area.

This study conducts a technical transportation evaluation of the Powers Ferry area. It identifies holistic improvements to support pedestrian, bicycle, transit, and vehicular travel while developing an implementation plan to move projects and strategies forward.

The study builds on improvements identified in the Powers Ferry Small Area Plan (PDF) . The study further evaluates these improvements and determines the feasibility and costs associated with implementation.

Final Report
