Check Your Zoning
You can use Plan Sandy Springs to answer common Planning & Zoning questions. Select "Zoning Check" and search for an address to find relevant information such as the Zoning District, Land Use Code, Character Area, and Developmental Standards.
A Variance (Sec. 6.6.2., Sec. 6.7.1., Article 9., Sec. 10.2.2., Section 11.6.2. of the Development Code) is a request for relief from the provisions of the Development Code.
A Stream Buffer Variance (Div. 9.2. of the Development Code) may be requested.
The Director is authorized to approve an Administrative Variance (Sec. 11.6.1. of the Development Code) for up to 10% of any measurable standard in the Development Code.
A Noise Variance (Sec. 11.6.2.J. of the Development Code) may be requested.
