TS108: Roswell Road/Dalrymple Intersection Improvements
Roswell Road/Dalrymple Intersection Improvements
Status
Project complete (December 2024)
Construction Start
February 2024
Project Description
Previously, there was only one eastbound left-turn lane on Dalrymple Road onto northbound Roswell Road. The left-turn lane extended only 33 feet, while a traffic study of the intersection showed traffic backups ranging from 150–700 feet, primarily due to the number of drivers attempting to turn left onto Roswell Road.
The project adds an additional eastbound left-turn lane, improves operational efficiency, and creates better traffic flow.
Additionally, the corner curb returns on all four corners of the intersection were adjusted to allow vehicles, specifically buses and emergency vehicles, to make turns safely. These improvements also increase pedestrian safety and bring the intersection into compliance with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.
