Trail Master Plan

The Sandy Springs Trails Master Plan identifies 31.4 miles of proposed greenway trails, side paths, and neighborhood greenways, connecting to 12 schools, 15 parks, and green spaces and providing connections to neighboring jurisdictions. The 10-year implementation plan includes seven miles of trails.

March 11, 2021 Virtual Public Meeting

The City of Sandy Springs hosted a virtual public meeting on Thursday, March 11, 2021, to provide the community with an update of the City’s Trail Master Plan. The meeting included information on trail design, trail alignment, and an implementation timeline. 

The City of Sandy Springs partnered with the Sandy Springs Conservancy and the Path Foundation in 2019 to develop a city-wide Trails Master Plan. The plan identifies 31.4 miles of proposed greenway trails, side paths, and neighborhood greenways, connecting to 12 schools, 15 parks, and green spaces and providing connections to neighboring jurisdictions. The 10-year implementation plan includes seven miles of trails.

October 15, 2019 Council Meeting

At their October 15, 2019 meeting, the City Council adopted the Trail Master Plan.
