Updates to the Development Code
Periodic updates to the Development Code ensure alignment with community goals and city policies. The most recent major update is part of the Community Work Program defined in The Next Ten Comprehensive Plan. This update advances regulations related to building height, lot size, setbacks, land uses, zoning, and other development standards.

Development Code History
The first version of the Sandy Springs Development Code was adopted on August 15, 2017 and applies to all construction project applications submitted on or after September 15, 2017. The Legacy Zoning Ordinance that it replaced applied to prior construction project applications.
