TS106: Riverview Road/Northside Drive Intersection Improvements
STATUS: Project complete
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The previous intersection was controlled by a two-way stop sign. There were sight distance issues throughout the intersection and a significant problem with side street delay on Riverview Road.
The City conducted a comprehensive traffic study as part of the concept design process. The results of the study show that the existing intersection performs poorly in both the morning and afternoon peak travel hours. There is insufficient stopping sight distance on Northside Drive, north of the intersection. The project will alleviate these issues by realigning the intersection and adding a roundabout. A public open house was held in February 2018.
