TS106: Riverview Road/Northside Drive Intersection Improvements

Project Description

The previous intersection was controlled by a two-way stop sign. There were sight-distance issues throughout the intersection and significant delays for side street traffic on Riverview Road.

The City conducted a comprehensive traffic study as part of the concept design process. The results of the study showed that the intersection performed poorly during both morning and afternoon peak travel hours. There was insufficient stopping sight distance on Northside Drive north of the intersection.

The project alleviates these issues by realigning the intersection and adding a roundabout. A public open house was held in February 2018.
