Pharmaceutical and Sharps Container Disposal

Medications and medical sharps that help keep us healthy can also create safety and environmental risks when not disposed of properly.

Expired, unused, or unwanted non-narcotic medications and injectable products should be disposed of securely whenever possible.

Community members may dispose of prescription medications, over-the-counter medications, and sealed sharps containers at secure drop boxes located at Sandy Springs Fire Stations No. 1 and No. 3.

Drop-off hours are Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Fire Station No. 1

1425 Spalding Drive, Sandy Springs, GA 30350

Fire Station No. 3

6025 Raider Drive, Sandy Springs, GA 30328
