The left-turn lane extended only 33 feet, while a traffic study of the intersection showed traffic backups ranging from 150–700 feet, primarily due to the number of drivers attempting to turn left onto Roswell Road.</p>\n\n<p>The project adds an additional eastbound left-turn lane, improves operational efficiency, and creates better traffic flow.</p>\n\n<p>Additionally, the corner curb returns on all four corners of the intersection were adjusted to allow vehicles, specifically buses and emergency vehicles, to make turns safely.
