The City of Sandy Springs is inviting paddlers from across the Southeast to compete in the inaugural Sandy Springs SUP Showdown on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Morgan Falls Overlook Park. The exciting new event will showcase the natural beauty of the Chattahoochee River while highlighting the growing popularity of stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) and adaptive paddle sports.
\n\nPresented in partnership with Murph’s Surf and Sandy Springs Recreation and Parks, the Sandy Springs SUP Showdown features a challenging six-mile out-and-back course on Bull Sluice Lake and the Chattahoochee River. Competitors will navigate dynamic river conditions that test endurance, strategy, and on-water skills while enjoying one of metro Atlanta’s premier outdoor recreation destinations.
