\n\nBACKGROUND:
\n\nIn 2021, the Sandy Springs Public Facilities Authority approved the transfer of the Abernathy Arts Center from Fulton County as part of a quit claim deed. In 2022, the City of Sandy Springs approved an agreement with Art Sandy Springs, Inc. (ArtSS) to provide arts programming at the Abernathy Arts Center. ArtSS has partnered with the City to reopen the Center and restart the popular art programming that had been a staple at this former Fulton County facility.
\n\nThe property is approximately 3.59 acres and is currently developed with three buildings: a single-story, former residential structure on a partial basement that is about 4,722 sq ft., a garage with a studio above, and a single-story steel framed 5,000 sq ft. Annex Building. The site also has tennis courts, a small playground, and a parking lot.
