Instruction includes a classroom session that introduces the student to the Cardinal Rules of Firearm Safety and the fundamentals of marksmanship. For those who wish to participate, there will be a live fire session. Live fire exercises will be controlled by SSPD State Certified Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors for safety and instruction.</p>\n\n<p>Students may bring their own handguns and must provide their own ammunition. For students who do not have a handgun, a loaner will be available (ammunition must be purchased separately at the gun range). Eye and ear protection will be provided. Students must wear closed toe shoes and should bring a baseball style cap with a brim. Shirts and tops should have a high neckline.
