SANDY SPRINGS TO HOST NORTH END ROADWAY SAFETY ANALYSIS PUBLIC OPEN HOUSE

April 12, 2022

SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. (April 11, 2022)—The City of Sandy Springs will host a Public Information Open House on Tuesday, April 26 regarding the North End Roadway Safety Analysis Study. The Open House will provide the community with an opportunity to review and provide input on proposed options to address roadway safety.

WHEN: Tuesday, April 26, 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.

WHERE: North Fulton County Government Service Center, 7741 Roswell Road, Sandy Springs, Ga. 30350

INFORMATION:

The North End Roadway Safety Analysis study area consists of three roadway corridors located on the north side of Sandy Springs:

  • Dunwoody Place
  • Northridge Road
  • Roswell Road

The City of Sandy Springs identified 14 intersections and one roadway segment in the corridors that have experienced a higher than normal number of vehicular crashes from 2016 to 2020. Most of the study’s corridors are heavily traveled and experience severe congestion during the weekday peak traffic periods in the morning and evening.

The study will identify crash patterns and make recommendations to increase safety for motorists, pedestrians, bicyclists and transit users.
