Sandy Springs Announces Exciting Lineup of Free Fall Festivities

September 3, 2025

With school back in session, it is almost time to celebrate the beginning of autumn and cooler weather in Sandy Springs. The City has a season of free community festivities ahead, including Fall Fun for All, Blue Stone Arts & Music Festival, OktoberFEAST, and Spooky Springs.

First up is the annual Fall Fun for All, scheduled for Thursday, September 18 from 4:30–7 p.m. at the Pavilion at Morgan Falls Overlook Park. The event is purposefully designed to create an opportunity for people with physical and developmental disabilities to have an inclusive experience with the community. Fall Fun for All features carnival games, prizes, light snacks and refreshments, and maybe a surprise or two. This is a free event, but registration is required.

Fall Fun for All kicks off a season of festivals. The two-day Blue Stone Arts & Music Festival is scheduled for Friday, September 26 and Saturday, September 27. Spanning four city blocks, the Blue Stone Festival will fill the streets with music stages, artist booths, and family fun.

In October, after a successful debut in 2024, the City of Sandy Springs is excited to announce the return of OktoberFEAST. Residents and visitors are invited to mark their calendars and raise a commemorative stein, with the second annual event to be held Saturday and Sunday, October 18–19, 2025, at City Springs, with festivities running from 3–7 p.m. each day.

This year's OktoberFEAST builds on the vibrant energy and community spirit of the inaugural festival, once again blending authentic Bavarian culture with a Southern twist. Guests can expect expanded food and beverage options, family activities, and a returning fan-favorite performance by The Swinging Bavarians.

As the name promises, food will take center stage. This year's menu is bigger and better, featuring classic favorites such as warm Bavarian pretzels with beer cheese dip, assorted German sausages, chicken schnitzel, spätzle, and other seasonal specialties (subject to change). An expanded selection of seasonal German brews and Oktoberfest-style lagers will also be available, including traditional Glühwein.

Finally, get ready for a frightfully fun evening as the beloved Spooky Springs event returns on Saturday, October 25 from 5–7 p.m. at Abernathy Greenway Playable Art Park. Designed especially for young trick-or-treaters, this year's celebration will feature candy stations, face painting, fog machines, music, and food trucks. It's the perfect chance for kids to show off their costumes ahead of Halloween.
