Fireworks Celebration Rescheduled

SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. (July 18, 2022) – The City of Sandy Springs has rescheduled its Stars and Stripes fireworks celebration for Friday, July 29 on the City Green. The event will highlight this year’s City Green Live season finale. City Green Live is a free summer concert series hosted by the City. 

The Smithereens, with guest vocalist Marshall Crenshaw, will be the featured act. The lawn opens at 4 p.m. and music begins at 7:30 p.m. The fireworks will light the night sky immediately following the concert (approximately 10 p.m.).

Reserved tables are sold out for this event, but lawn seating is free. Only alcoholic beverages sold on-site are allowed. Tents and personal sparklers are not permitted.

Food and beverages can be pre-ordered until 3 p.m. on Tuesday, July 26. Please visit the City’s website for ordering information and parking updates.

The City earned the "Tree Cities of the World" recognition for the third year in a row. According to a tree canopy assessment performed using imagery from the 2019 U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Agriculture Imagery Program, Sandy Springs is 57% to 60% tree covered.
