Sandy Springs to Cut Ribbon on Renovated Morgan Falls Dog Park

October 1, 2026

Tails Will Wag as Sandy Springs to Cut Ribbon on Renovated Morgan Falls Dog Park

The City of Sandy Springs is pleased to invite residents and their four-legged friends to a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Morgan Falls Dog Park on Wednesday, October 14. Completed ahead of schedule, the project brings new features and upgrades to the scenic 3.4-acre park.

And because no grand opening for a dog park would be complete without some serious canine star power, Yeager, a Sandy Springs Police Department K-9, will also be attending the celebration. Yeager will be on hand to inspect the improvements and determine whether the park passes the sniff test.

WHEN:             Wednesday, October 14 at 2 p.m.

WHERE:           Morgan Falls Dog Park, 100 Morgan Falls Rd.

The park's two fenced areas give dogs plenty of room to run, sniff, chase, socialize, and conduct highly important investigations into what every other dog has been doing since their last visit. And for the humans? There are plenty of places to sit, relax, and enjoy the views of the Chattahoochee while pretending they aren't watching their dog eat something questionable.

The Morgan Falls Dog Park overlooks the Chattahoochee River within Morgan Falls Park and features two fenced dog areas: one for small and one for large dogs. Following community input, site improvements began with grading a drainage channel to ensure dogs and their owners have a dry place to play.

Additional new features include shade structures, benches, picnic tables, waste and wash stations, drinking fountains, and boulders for dogs to jump on and observe their surroundings.
