Dino Egg Hunt Comes to Sandy Springs

March 16, 2021

- Morgan Falls Overlook Park returns to the days of dinosaurs for a special dino-inspired egg hunt on Saturday April 3, 2021. The special egg hunt is hosted by Sandy Springs Recreation and Parks, in partnership with the Optimist Club, is designed  for children with physical and developmental disabilities.

“These special residents and their families will be able to enjoy the fun of the hunt, designed to accommodate their unique needs,” said Recreation and Parks Director Michael Perry.

The egg hunt creates an opportunity for children with physical and developmental disabilities to have an inclusive experience with the community.  When the egg hunting begins, the event will be monitored for safety and includes a designated area to accommodate children in wheelchairs.

Although this is a free event, reservations are required to ensure social distancing.

There are two sessions in which children can hunt for eggs. The first time slot is at 10 am (max 20 participants). The second time begins at 11:30 am (max 20 participants).

Please note that this event does not include music in consideration of participants with sensory sensitivity. Parents should also be advised that small objects are included within the dino-eggs.  For more information and to register for this event, please visit registration.sandyspringsga.gov.
