City of Sandy Springs to Host Intersection Improvements Public Open House

The City of Sandy Springs will host a Public Information Open House regarding proposed improvements at the intersection of Johnson Ferry Road, Glenridge Drive and Glenairy Drive. There will be a short presentation to review the proposed project intended to improve safety and operational efficiency. An open house will follow the presentation where the public is invited to provide input.

                        Sandy Springs, GA

BACKGROUND:  The intersection is located north of Hammond Drive and I-285 and west of SR 400. Glenridge Drive intersects with Mount Vernon Highway to the north and travels south providing access to I-285 and SR 400.  The intersection experiences approximately 10 crashes annually. Seventy-five percent were rear end crashes, and 12 percent were angle crashes.
