The City of Sandy Springs Debuts Innovative AI Assistant to Improve Customer Service   

City of Sandy Springs is proud to debut an AI Assistant to improve resident experience and digital accessibility. Available on the City’s website, the Sandy Springs AI Assistant will help residents and professionals find information about the City, municipal services, and cultural activities, reducing the need to call or search across multiple pages.  

Developed by the City’s Digital Development Team in partnership with BizzTech, the AI web assistant is backed by a centralized knowledge base and can answer questions in natural language, guide website navigation, and enable resident self-service from any device, 24 hours a day. It is also multilingual, allowing residents to interact with the City in more than 100 languages.  

The AI Assistant was made possible through the City’s Unified Platform, a custom-developed decoupled content management system (CMS) that powers city websites and digital signage. Information that is updated on the City’s website — such as an event start time — is immediately available through the AI Assistant, reducing the risk of confusion and misinformation. By developing its own software tools, the City is able to create solutions tailored to the specific needs and demands of the community.

The City of Sandy Springs values resident data and respects digital privacy. For that reason, personal data and individual chat logs are not stored.
