Winter Storm Advisory: City of Sandy Springs Closures and Safety Information

January 9, 2025

Due to the winter storm forecasted to impact the area, the City of Sandy Springs will close its administrative offices at City Hall on Friday, January 10, 2025. Additionally, City Parks will be closed from Friday, January 10 through Saturday, January 11. Emergency services will remain fully operational.

The City Hall lobby will be open as a warming center on Friday, January 10, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

City officials urge residents to stay off the roads unless necessary. This will help ensure public safety personnel can reach those in need and allow public works crews to treat city roads and rights-of-way effectively.

Stay informed by signing up for Sandy Springs Alerts and visiting the website at Spr.gs/WinterWeather. Residents should call 911 in the event of an emergency, but can call the 24-hour Call Center at 770-730-5600 to report other concerns.

The City has been actively preparing for the storm, applying brine to major thoroughfares. Operations will shift to spreading salt by this evening. For more updates, follow the City of Sandy Springs on Facebook, Instagram and X.
