A new software is available for property managers to keep track of all the MRH inspections!

All Multifamily Rental Housing Properties will need the following documents to apply for a new or renew the Occupational Tax Certificate (Business License):
Business License/Occupational Tax Certificate Requirements
- Occupational Tax Certificate Application
- Property Manager Certification (Property Manager must be physically located on the property or assigned to the property.)
- Certificate of Compliance (issued by the City for completion of all code required inspections)
- Certificate of Insurance
Business License Application
All businesses located in the City of Sandy Springs are required to hold a valid Business Occupational Tax Certificate, often referred to as a business license, and pay Business Occupational Taxes. The Certificate is valid for one calendar year and must be renewed annually. Code Compliance Certificate
The City of Sandy Springs will award a Certificate of Code compliance to a property once it has passed all required MRH inspections (listed below). This certificate is required to apply for the business license/Occupational Tax Certificate.

- Mechanical Trade (Five years)
- Electrical Trade (Five years)
- Plumbing Trade (Five years)
Property Owner Inspections

Property Manager Certification
All property managers must undergo yearly training on the new ordinance presented by the MRH task force and receive a certificate of attendance (Property Manager Certification). This certificate is required to apply for the business license/Occupational Tax Certificate. Property owners and other staff members are encouraged to attend this training, but it is not a requirement.
