Lake Forrest Drive Sidewalk

Phase 1 Project Status: Phase 1 construction underway. Lake Forrest Drive from Mount Paran Road to City Limit. Notice to proceed issued to contractor on 4/14/25. Expected Completion: Fall 2025.

Description: Construct 1,240 linear feet of 6-foot sidewalk on the west side of Lake Forrest Drive from 4838 Lake Forrest Drive to 4852 Lake Forrest Drive and from 5022 Lake Forrest Drive to 14 Mt. Paran Drive.

Traffic Impacts: Intermittent lane closures.

Phase 2 Status: Design underway. Remainder of the project on Lake Forrest Drive from City Limit to Mount Paran Road. Construct approximately 3300 LF of 6-foot sidewalk on the west side of Lake Forrest Drive from the City Limit to 4822 Lake Forrest Drive and from 25 Pine Lake Drive to 4990 Lake Forrest Drive. Expected Construction Bid Let: Winter 2025.

Background: February 18, 2025: City Council approves phase 1 construction contract. Contract awarded to Excellere Construction in the amount of $272,700.00. This project is funded through the Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (TSPLOST) program.
