Kennel Permits

A kennel permit is required when four or more dogs over the age of four months are kept, maintained, or harbored on a property for 14 days or longer.

Who Must Apply

The property owner or person in possession of the premises where the kennel is located must obtain a kennel permit.

How to Apply

Applications are accepted at the Construction Permit Desk located at the Zoning and Permitting entrance on the south side of City Hall.

Required Documentation

Please bring the completed application and all required checklist items, including:

• Most recent rabies vaccination certificates for all dogs
• Any additional documentation identified in the application checklist
