Hunting

According to Georgia state guidelines, any hunter authorized to hunt on private property must be listed on the permit application of the landowner or lessee. Guest hunters who are not listed on the permit application must carry written permission from the landowner or lessee while hunting.

Note: Firearm hunting is not permitted within Sandy Springs city limits. Bow hunting may be permitted on private property with the landowner's permission and all required licenses and permits. Hunting is prohibited on all public property.

To obtain a hunting license, permit, or pass, hunters may apply through the Georgia Hunting and Fishing Licenses Portal, through an authorized Georgia License Agent, or by calling 800-366-2661.
