Housing Needs Assessment

The City of Sandy Springs conducted its first Housing Needs Assessment in 2020, with an update in 2026. The purpose of the assessment was to provide a better understanding of the existing housing market and the needs of current and future Sandy Springs residents.

The assessment also helps elected officials, City staff, stakeholders, and community members better understand the housing market, identify key housing issues, and recognize how those issues impact the City.

Initial findings from the assessment were presented to the Mayor and City Council, as well as the public, during two work sessions held in fall 2020.
