GIS Mapping

GIS, short for Geographic Information System, is a system used to manage, analyze, and display location-based information, typically through interactive maps and spatial data.

GIS technology captures, stores, organizes, and displays data related to positions on the Earth’s surface. These mapping tools support decision-making by allowing different types of information to be displayed in layers.

The City’s Open Data Portal provides access to datasets and interactive maps used by the City of Sandy Springs.
