Keith Sanders

The Chief of the Sandy Springs Fire Department is Keith Sanders .

Chief Sanders joined SSFD in October 2014 with more than 35 years of experience in fire service and public safety.

Prior to joining Sandy Springs, he served with the City of Alpharetta as Fire Chief and later as Deputy Director of Public Safety.

In that role, Chief Sanders oversaw fire department operations, police operations, and 911 communications.

In addition to his fire service background, Chief Sanders is a Georgia POST-certified police officer and a graduate of the FBI National Academy, an invitation-only leadership program.

He was also recognized as a Certified Public Manager by the University of Georgia Carl Vinson Institute of Government.

Chief Sanders holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Toccoa Falls College and a Master of Public Administration degree from Columbus State University.
