City of Sandy Springs Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month

Thursday, October 14

Join the City of Sandy Springs in celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month on Thursday, Oct. 14. Chef Carta’s Azucar Cuban Cuisine, a local food truck, will be outside Sandy Springs City Hall preparing authentic food for purchase for all to enjoy. This event will provide the City’s diverse residents a safe environment to interact, learn more about Hispanic Heritage Month, and build new relationships while enjoying some great food.

Parking will be available in the City’s underground garage (please note: the first two hours are free).

Hispanic Heritage Month, celebrated from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15, recognizes the contributions Hispanic-Americans have made to American society. The observation started in 1968 as Hispanic Heritage Week under President Lyndon Johnson and was expanded by President Ronald Reagan in 1988 to cover a 30-day period starting on Sept. 15 and ending on Oct. 15.
