City Code and Ordinances

The collection of laws adopted by the City is known as the City Code of Ordinances, often referred to as the City Code.

An ordinance is an individual law, statute, or regulation adopted by the City.

MuniCode

The Sandy Springs City Code is available on the MuniCode website. MuniCode is a third-party service that publishes and maintains the City's codified ordinances. When the City Council adopts ordinances that create, amend, or repeal laws and regulations, the City Code is updated accordingly.

The Development Code and Zoning Map became effective on September 15, 2017.

Ordinance Archive

The City Council Ordinance Archive contains both ordinances that amend the City Code and one-time ordinances related to specific matters, such as the rezoning of an individual property.
