Dan Lee is a Partner with Freeman, Mathis Gary, LLP and practices in the firm's Atlanta office. He has more than 25 years of experience as a municipal and county attorney, having served as the County Attorney for two Georgia Counties and has represented more than 30 counties and cities in the state of Georgia. Most recently, Mr. Lee served on Governor Nathan Deal’s Transition Team.

Mr. Lee served three terms in the Georgia State Senate, serving with many of the state's current congressmen while they were in the state legislation - Tom Price, David Scott, Austin Scott, Buddy Carter, Barry Loudermilk and Tom Graves. Ultimately, Mr. Lee rose to become former Governor Sonny Perdue’s Senior Administrative Floor Leader, where he was spokesperson in the Senate and helped pass Governor Perdue’s legislative agenda, which included ethics and education reform and stronger criminal penalties for the manufacture, transfer and possession of methamphetamines. Mr. Lee was the elected Solicitor General for Troup County, Georgia, prior to being elected to the Georgia Senate, and also served as Georgia’s eighth District Chairman of the George W. Bush for President Re-election campaign in 2004. He served as Chairman of the Senate Public Safety and Judiciary Committees and served on the Natural Resources and Appropriations Committees.  Mr. Lee attended Cumberland School of Law and LaGrange College and has been a member of the Georgia Bar since 1985.
