Charter Commission

City Code directs the City Council to establish a Charter Commission at the first regularly scheduled City Council meeting following the City’s December 1 anniversary date.

The Commission was appointed following the City’s fifth anniversary and again in 2020, marking the City’s 15th anniversary.

Appointments are made by the Mayor and City Council, as well as members of the Georgia House of Representatives and Senate whose districts lie wholly or partially within the corporate boundaries of Sandy Springs.
