Caregiver Training
In accordance with State of Georgia requirements, all directors, operators, and staff members of child and adult day-care facilities, as well as administrators, operators, and staff of assisted living communities, assisted living facilities, community living arrangements, memory care units, personal care homes, and residential board and care homes, must complete caregiver fire safety training.
The required training must be completed within 90 days of employment.
In addition, a minimum of two hours of fire safety refresher training is required every three years following the initial training.
These courses are offered through the Georgia Safety Fire Commissioner’s Office.
