Boylston Drive Sidepath & Realignment

Project Status

Construction underway with intermittent lane closures. Storm structure installation and utility relocations nearing completion. Road grading operations continue.

Project Description

The project will realign the intersection of Boylston Drive and Hammond Drive so that Boylston Drive connects to the Hammond Glen Retirement Community driveway at a single signalized intersection.

The new entrance to the office building at 325 Hammond along the Hammond Glen driveway is open for traffic. The former driveway has been permanently closed and the new access point will serve as the sole entrance for the building.

Planned improvements also include streetscape enhancements and a side path along Boylston Drive.

Utility relocations are ongoing and are expected to be completed in November 2026.

Construction is anticipated to take approximately 15 months and is currently estimated to be completed in January 2027.

Cost: $2,980,000.
