
Assistant City Manager
Kristin Smith
Kristin Smith is the Assistant City Manager leading the Innovation, Business, and Technology team. She previously served as Assistant to the City Manager, where she focused on research and special project management.
Smith led the City's sustainability efforts, helping upgrade the Atlanta Regional Commission Green Communities Certification from Bronze to Gold and implementing partnerships with Trees Atlanta to plant 400 trees annually throughout the City.
Prior to that role, Smith served as a long-range planner for the City and helped develop the Next Ten Comprehensive Plan and four Small Area Plans. She earned a Bachelor of Public Policy and a Master of City and Regional Planning from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Keith Sanders
Keith Sanders is the Assistant City Manager for Infrastructure and Capital Program Delivery. He oversees the Public Works, Facilities, and Capital Construction departments and serves as the senior staff lead for evaluating and implementing water reliability options, a strategic priority for Sandy Springs.
Prior to his promotion to Assistant City Manager in 2026, Sanders spent 47 years in fire service.
Sanders holds a Master of Public Administration from Columbus State University and a Bachelor of Science from Toccoa Falls College. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy (Class 255) and holds the Certified Public Manager designation from the University of Georgia.
