
Assistant City Manager
Kristin Smith
Kristin Smith is Assistant City Manager leading the Innovation, Business, and Technology team. Kristin previously served as the Assistant to the City Manager, focused on research and special project management. She led the City’s sustainability efforts, upgrading the Atlanta Regional Commission Green Communities Certification from Bronze to Gold and implementing partnerships with Trees Atlanta to plant 400 trees annually throughout the City.
Prior, Kristin served as a long-range planner for the City, focused on the creation of the Next Ten Comprehensive Plan and four Small Area Plans. She received her Bachelor of Public Policy and Master of City and Regional Planning degrees from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Keith Sanders
Keith Sanders is the Assistant City Manager for Infrastructure and Capital Program Delivery. He oversees the Public Works and Facilities and Capital Construction departments and serves as the senior staff lead in evaluating and implementing water reliability options, a critical strategic priority for Sandy Springs as we plan for the long-term needs of our growing community. Prior to being promoted to the position in 2026, Sanders spent 47 years in fire service, a testament to a lifetime of public service.
Sanders holds a Master of Public Administration from Columbus State University and a Bachelor of Science from Toccoa Falls College. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy (Class 255) and holds the Certified Public Manager designation from the University of Georgia.
