– To enhance the gymnastics programming available to the community at Hammond Park, the City of Sandy Springs today issued an RFP (Request for Proposals) for Hammond Gymnastics Center Management.
In an effort to train at least 1,200 individuals each year in CPR, the Sandy Springs Fire Department will host a series of free CPR Training courses for the community beginning in March.
The City of Sandy Springs is proud to receive recognition for the eleventh year as a Tree City USA community by the National Arbor Day Foundation. The designation recognizes the City’s commitment to urban forestry.
During its February 19, 2019, meeting, the Sandy Springs City Council adopted a Recreation and Parks Master Plan to guides the City related to future capital and programming priorities in this area over the next ten years.

Beginning February 1, 2019, visitors to City Springs will be able to park in the street-level surface parking spaces for free for 2-hours sessions.

Simone Dinnerstein & Matt Haimovitz Concert Rescheduled for May 23, 2019 at Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center
The concert featuring pianist Simone Dinnerstein and cellist Matt Haimovitz that was canceled due to the threatened winter storm has been rescheduled for Thursday, May 23, 2019, at the Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center.
