To support mitigation efforts for disease control related to the current COVD-19 pandemic, all City of Sandy Springs facilities are closed to the public until further notice. While the buildings are closed, city staff will continue operations remotely to provide continued service to the community.
Many city services, such as filing for most permits and payments can be conducted online.
Building Permits and Construction
The Community Development Department is still open and working remotely without any delays in service. The only real difference is that everything has to be submitted online using the Contractor Access Portal (CAP) and/or via e-mail. Likewise, all construction document approvals, permit cards and certificates will be issued via email. If there is a need to still get together, we are still having our Developer’s Meetings every Thursday using Cisco Webex so that we will be able to share our screens with each other.
In order to accommodate everyone and expedite the plan review process, all submittals shall be in PDF format and shall include all the sheets required to obtain a permit combined into one single PDF document. All changes in resubmittal documents shall have all revisions clouded and shall also include all original, revised and new sheets combined into one single PDF document for each resubmittal. Missing pages from a resubmittal are considered an incomplete submittal and will not be processed since the City cannot review or approve an incomplete submittal. It is the responsibility of the permittee to assemble all drawings into a single PDF for each submittal and resubmittal.
