The project includes the installation of a new pipe system which will increase the capacity of the drainage system in the area. The upgraded system will be capable of receiving the offsite water flow and routing the majority of the flow (approximately 80-94%) directly to the proposed outfall at Marsh Creek. The pipes range in size from 42” to 60” and will run south along the east side of Glenridge Drive then east under the southern travel lane of Mabry Road. The system continues east along Mabry Road and outfalls directly into Marsh Creek upstream of the current existing outfall.
Work on the project will begin near the outfall to Marsh Creek and will generally progress west on Mabry Road toward Glenridge Drive and then north on Glenridge to the connection with the existing storm system on the west side of the road. The median island on Mabry Road on the project side of the roundabout may be temporarily removed during the construction period to facilitate construction equipment. One lane will remain open on Mabry Road at all times during construction, and flagmen will control traffic flow during construction. Driveway access will be coordinated with property owners during construction.
