Winter Storm Operations

As a reminder, the City has an adopted priority list of roadways it handles during winter weather conditions.

All route priorities are based on providing public safety and first responders’ maximum access to the various parts of the City with the most efficient use of limited resources. Police, Fire and Public Works determined these priorities, with concurrence by the City Manager. As always, emergency plans change to meet the needs of Public Safety. Should any street, regardless of predetermined priority level, need to be treated in order to affect life-saving measures, it will be done. In the event of down trees or power lines or ice/snow covered roads, you can report those non-emergency items to our 24/7 Call Center at 770.730.5600 or contact us through social media at or via Twitter @SandySpringsGA.  You can also report issues through the Sandy Springs Works app. Click on the Report button, and select Winter Storm under the Issue Title selection.
