City Of Sandy Springs Announces Grants Available For Non-Profit, Community Organizations

SANDY SPRINGS (Oct. 25, 2011) — The City of Sandy Springs announces the availability of FY 2012 funding for eligible non-profit agencies that serve residents of Sandy Springs. The available funding pool is $150,000.
The application and instructions are availabe online at http://www.sandyspringsga.gov/ServingSandySprings. Applicants must submit an original and three copies of the completed application with any supporting documentation to the attention of Eden Freeman, Assistant City Manager, Sandy Springs City Hall, 7840 Roswell Road, Building 500, Sandy Springs, GA. Applications must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 2, 2011. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
The City will hold a training session at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 15, in the City Hall Training Room adjacent to City Council Chambers located at 7840 Roswell Road, Building 500, Sandy Springs, GA. While not mandatory, interested applicants are encouraged to attend as the session is geared towards helping non-profit organizations prepare the most competitive application possible.
The City’s Non-Profit funding program, passed in October, was created to establish a policy for consistent response to requests for financial resources on behalf of non-profit organizations in the City of Sandy Springs.
