City Holds Fire Department Commissioning Service
All Firefighters in Attendance As Well As New Equipment on Hand

The Mayor, City Council members and other dignitaries will commission the newly-formed Sandy Springs Fire Department on Tuesday, December 19, 2006, at 5:00 p.m. The event will be held in the council chambers at City Hall. All residents and friends are welcome to attend.
Fire Chief Jack McElfish, the batallion commanders, crew chiefs and the first recruits to assume their duties will be in attendance. A graduation ceremony will be held for the new recruits, dalmations will be on hand for photos and firefighters will be sworn in.
