City of Sandy Springs to Host Trails Master Plan Public Meeting
SANDY SPRINGS – (June 3, 2019) - The City of Sandy Springs and the Sandy Springs Conservancy have partnered with the Path Foundation to develop a city-wide Trails Master Plan. The community is invited to attend a Public Information Open House on Wednesday, June 19, 2019, to learn more about the planning process and provide input on proposed trails. The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. at Sandy Springs City Hall, located at 1 Galambos Way, Sandy Springs, Ga. 30328.
Expansion of the City’s trails system was included as a recommended priority in the Comprehensive Recreation and Parks Master Plan adopted in 2018. With more than 950 acres of parkland, Sandy Springs residents and visitors of all ages can enjoy the many activities found in any one of the City’s more than 20 parks. The Sandy Springs Recreation and Parks Department, in partnership with the National Park Service, maintain beautiful trails for hiking and exploring along the City’s 22 miles of the Chattahoochee River shoreline.
