The Board of Appeals & Planning Commission Retreat began at 9:00 AM. The following Board of Appeals Members were in attendance: Chair Mel Mobley, Vice Chair Sherri Allen, and Board Members Ted Sandler, Colin Lichtenstein, Alvin Johnson, Robin Conklin, and Bill Thackston. Planning and Zoning Staff from the Community Development Department included Matthew Anspach, Alexandra Horst, Madalyn Smith, Melvin Mungai, and LaToya Goudeau.

City Staff who presented included Ginger Sottile, Matthew Anspach, Alexandra Horst, and Madalyn Smith from Community Development, Jim Tolbert and Kristin Byars Smith from City Management, Michael Perry from Recreation & Parks, Yvonne Smith from Code Enforcement, Andrea Worthy from Economic Development, and Kristen Wescott and Allen Johnson from Public Works, with all providing information on the topics outlined on the Agenda. Mayor Paul addressed the group during lunch, providing an overview of how to conduct a public meeting. Attorney Dana Maine, General Counsel at Freeman Mathis & Gary, spoke to the Members about the decision process.

This joint Retreat, for both the Board of Appeals and Planning Commission, was an informational meeting. No motions, actions, or votes were taken.

The Retreat was adjourned at approximately 2:30 PM by Ginger Sottile, Community Development Director.
