In order to support mitigation efforts for disease control related to the current COVID-19 Pandemic, City Council, Board of Appeals and Planning Commission meetings will be virtual/remote only, unless otherwise noticed on the meeting's agenda and public notice announcements.
Information on how to access the meeting live streams can be found by clicking on the meeting in the calendar below.
For those who wish to make a public comment, you can do so via the Public Comment Form.
At their July 21, 2020 meeting, the City Council set policy for public comments during virtual meetings held online.
All public comments, except for public hearing public comments, are required to be in writing, no longer than two pages, and emailed to the City Clerk by noon (12 p.m.) on the day of the City Council meeting. Public comments received will be published with the Summary Minutes of the meeting.
Those electing to provide live video/audio for public hearing comment will receive a follow up email from the City with instructions on how to login to Zoom Webinar as a participant.

Public Meeting Agendas and Minutes
Prior to meetings of City Council, board and commissions, agendas with supporting documents are posted online. During a City Council meeting, items that are noted as new business, unfinished business, public hearing or a part of a zoning agenda (heard the second Council meeting of the month) will be discussed and available for public comment. If you would like to speak during a Council meeting, please fill out a public comment card and submit it to the City Clerk prior to the meeting start (Comment Cards are available as you enter Council chambers). Make sure to print clearly your name and the agenda item number for the item about which you wish to speak. Work Session, as the name implies, is an opportunity for the City Council to discuss - but not vote - on individual items of business. Work Sessions are typically held at the start of a City Council meeting, prior to the regular session meeting. Executive Sessions are held on an as-needed basis and in following state law, are called to discuss topics including: employee matters, pending litigation, future acquisition of real estate, staff meetings regarding investigative purposes, and tax matters. If any of the topics discussed requires a vote, the Mayor and City Council will call for the vote in a public forum.
New Website for Public Meeting Documents in 2020
The City is currently transitioning to a new public meeting management system. Beginning in January 2020, City Council Meeting and Public Facilities Authority Meeting documents will be posted on the new system. Other public meetings will transition to the new system over the coming months. The City also plans to move its archive of public meeting documents to the new system in the future to make finding historical information easier.
Legacy Public Meeting Documents
You can use the legacy public meetings system to access documents for upcoming public meetings that have not transitioned to the new system, as well as public meetings that occurred in 2019 and earlier.
Minutes are not issued for the following meetings: Rezoning or Conditional Use Permit Community I or Community Meeting II.
To view agenda documents, you will need PDF software or web-browser plug-in. The Google Chrome web-browser has a PDF viewer built in and is available for download free of charge.
