City of Sandy Springs hosts its fifth annual Independence Day Celebration at Concourse

The skies above Sandy Springs will sparkle and sizzle as the City hosts its fifth annual Stars and Stripes Celebration fireworks event, Sunday, July 2, 2017 at the Concourse lawn. The community is invited to pack a picnic and enjoy an evening under the stars as part of this much-anticipated holiday tradition.
“It is a coming together of the community in celebration,” said Sandy Springs Mayor Rusty Paul. “It’s friends and neighbors getting together to enjoy the summer night and spectacular fireworks.”
The official viewing area is the lawn at the Concourse, located at Five Concourse Parkway. Complimentary parking officially opens at 6:30 p.m. and will be available in Concourse Parking Decks Five and Six. Music from the band, Shiloh, begins at 7:30 p.m. and fireworks provide their effervescent sparkle beginning at 9:45 p.m.
There is no admission to attend. Residents are encouraged to pack a snack and bring soft-sided balls, Frisbees and other kid and crowd-friendly toys. Pets, tents, outdoor cooking and personal-use sparklers are not permitted in the Concourse area. Drones are not permitted in the Concourse and fireworks areas.
The Sandy Springs Stars and Stripes Celebration is sponsored by Regent Partners and Building and Land Technology (Concourse) and the City of Sandy Springs.
